The ETFE cover of the swimming pool and the new wellness center inaugurated in May 2018 has been designed and built for Camping Garden Paradiso. The cover consists of 550 square meters divided into 20 triple layer ETFE cushions. The two external layers are printed in colored dots white. The printing gradient of ETFE has been selected to reach the solar factor necessary in order to guarantee thermal comfort inside the building. The system is kept under pressure by a blower designed to keep the cushions at the design pressure. Thanks to the flexibility of ETFE in terms of design and shapes, it was possible to create a curved envelope which consist in 7 different pillow typology.
