Info: Steel cube of 8-meter side rotated 45° and coated with mirror effect ETFE.
Based on the design of MAD studio, a cube made of metal structure with a side of 8 meters resting by one of its edges was engineered produced and installed. The total height of the sculpture reaches about 12.5 meters at the center. The structure was designed on a modular basis in order to be able to reassemble the structure in a reduced form, with a side of 4 meters, at a later date at the headquarters of the company AXA IM Alts, sponsor of the initiative.
The mirrored, translucent enclosure is made through about 150 ETFE strips spaced a few centimeters apart in order to allow them to vibrate with the wind and allow a glimpse of the light installation inside.
The mirrored finish of ETFE is applied for the first time at the scale of architecture and opens up unprecedented scenarios by allowing reflection and translucence at the same time.
